3D Printing A FANCY Jar (ft. Emma Yang)

Starting our 3D printing journey for the Fancy jar, Emma and I popped that bad boy into slicer (which unfortunately I forgot to screenshot), and set it up for single-walled, spiral vase styled construction. Meaning the walls would be thinner, but seamless. So let's get into what your here for, a 3D printer in action.

Ain't that the coolest? The printer took about 2hrs and was almost entirely successful, except for a slight cave in on one side, because we pushed the angle of possibility to its limit, but it recovered well enough that there was no need to reconstruct. If we were to do so, though, we would add double walling so that everything would be supported sufficiently.

The inward-angled coins worked just as I predicted, functioning as a very easy way to grab the jar in a way that didn't just cup the entire thing. The inside exceeded our expectations, as Emma pointed out, and it looked real cool! So here's a few pics of this fANCy jar~

Yeah! looks dope as heck, but I'm biased ;)

I look forward to seeing how this project goes with whichever group we end up pairing with, I think it'll go great. Thanks again for being a great partner Emma!

Until next time, that's the post!
