Remix culture is the combination of two (or more) existing things, in order to create a brand new thing with a different or similar context, whether that be a humorous one, or a genuine improvement upon the original.

Of course, I adore the context of the whimsical, and literal symbolic humour, so here are 10 creations that reflect my take on remix culture.

This idea sparked from a conversation with friends about different ways the brain could be portrayed. My idea was a cute "brain dog" that barks whenever an idea is conceived, but just naps and chases its tail when you're distracted. So, here is a rendition of that idea.

The photosynthesizer is a harmony between technology and nature, two forces that are often seen as opposites. This very sci-fi/fantasy blaster is powered via photosynthesis, and I think that if a series worked on this interplay, I would watch the crap out of it, so here's hoping.

Have you ever thought to yourself, while sitting on the couch and drifting off to sleep during a netflix binge, that your sofa was stealing your soul? Well, that's the concept here. The sleeping souls of the lazy are destined to join their lazy catalyst for eternity. (Guess I'm doomed)

You wanna know whats overused? The darkness and light contrast. Novels? sick of it. Television? Sick of it. It's unoriginal. SO. I've decided to play on that overuse and portray something that plays on the perception instead. Here we have something traditionally considered dark, ie death, in the form of a lamp, giving off light. The idea is that sometimes, what it takes for people to find personal salvation is a glance into darkness.

Imagine how powerless you would feel if you could not pick up a pot by the handles, knowing full well that if you did, they would break and the contents of the pot would spill all over you.
